We specialize in functional fitness personal training for boomers, seniors and those with medical conditions. Functional bodyweight resistance training is scientifically proven to be the most effective way to build muscle, strengthen the core, and burn fat – no matter the age. Training with one of our Functional Aging Specialists will allow you to pursue life with greater strength, energy, and vitality.
Whether you are training one-on-one or in a small group of up to 5 people just like you, each 30-minute training session is geared to your individual fitness level and abilities – no matter your previous fitness experience.

About Active Age Fitness
Active Age Fitness has been offering functional fitness training programs since October, 2014. We believe that physical activity is essential to living a long, meaningful life and the most effective instant happiness booster of all.
We are experts on aging and functional fitness. All out trainers are certified through an NCCA organization. More importantly, we are all certified Functional Aging Specialists through the Functional Aging Institute.
We are always learning. We continually seek out scientifically-based, proven methodologies to inform our training methods. Our training programs use methods from the Functional Movement Screen,Smart Group Training, FallProof.
Dina Medina, the owner and head trainer of Active Age Fitness, is a life-long runner familiar with the challenges of “getting out the door,” she has completed five marathons in four states. After a long career in corporate communications, she purchased a small ladies gym and turned it into Active Age Fitness.
Active Age Fitness is independently owned and operated. We are not a franchise nor part of any corporate chain. We are a traditional small business enriching the community of which we are a part.
